Access to inputs

Since 2006, the CAA has had an input credit scheme for its members. This is part of the goal to increase productivity per acre of farmland. We only distribute fertilisers and crop protection products that are recommended by the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG). These products are internationally accepted and have been tested in Ghana for years with proven results.

Our input scheme has three key elements:

  1. Improving access to quality inputs, which results in sustainable yield increase.
  2. Making sure that fertilisers and crop protection products are available to members when they need them most.
  3. Training, demonstrations, and the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure effective application with the least harmful side effects on humans and the environment.
